Carole Sinclair uses discarded objects and mixed media to explore and elevate

the energy in non-living matter.

She allows stains, tears and marks to remain visible and form much of the content, often

placing unprecious elements in juxtaposition in order to generate a unique vitality.

The history of the selected materials and elements often  indicates previous uses

and represents a record of labour.

Carole’s work is heavily process based, in which the adding, adapting and

subtracting combine to make it seem more like

constructing than creating.
